Synopsis:
For Tennessee native Katie Joplin, landing a job as a late-night talk radio host dishing out advice to the forlorn and lovelorn of Philadelphia is a welcome twist of fate. Now if she could only apply some of that no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is wisdom to her own life as she starts over in a brand new city with her teenage son Grey. Impressed with Katie's razor-sharp Southern wit and fierce opinions, FM radio station manager Glen Shotz gives Katie her own advice show, even though her own personal life is in shambles and she has no radio experience. To make matters worse, the station's program director, Mitchell Truit, a pompous Philly blueblood who can't wait to see Katie fail, teams her on the graveyard shift with overly eager, rookie producer Tiger French. Helping Katie with her transition is Liz Berlin, Katie's fashion-forward niece who's thrilled to share her home with her favorite aunt and young cousin.
