Synopsis:
Literary experts comment on William Golding's novel "Lord of the Flies." Written in 1954, in the aftermath of the war and the holocaust, the novel focuses on a group of English schoolboys stranded on a desert island. Without parental guidance, the children attempt to create a fair society, but fail, and almost destroy themselves in the chaos and violence that ensues.
