Synopsis:
A drama about Marty Polletti, a homely 36-year-old butcher from the Bronx who has given up hope of finding a mate. However, while attending a local ballroom dance, he meets Clara Davis, an equally unattractive school teacher, and for the first time, he feels there is hope for a lasting love. The teleplay served as a basis for Delbert Mann's 1954 theatrical film of the same name, with Ernest Borgnine and Betsy Blair in the lead roles.
