Synopsis:
When his friend, Sid Lammon, is killed and the police investigation into the crime dissatisfies him, Jim McClain, a retired police detective, rejoins the force to solve the crime and do the job as he once did fifteen years before -- "by the gut." The series follows the exploits of Jim McClain, a 52-year-old veteran cop, and his 30-year-old by-the-books partner, Harry Gates, as members of the San Pedro, California, Police Department.
