Synopsis:
A special featuring the reenactment of four unexplainable, fortuitous events. In "Miracle on Highway 5," the operator of an earth-moving machine in San Diego assists a police officer and unknowingly saves his own son's life in the process. In "The Giant Beside Our House," a father prunes a massive tree shortly before a fierce storm sends the tree crashing through the roof of the house and into his young daughter's bedroom. Only days before, the girl had impulsively rearranged her furniture. "A Voice From Home" is about a U.S. Marine in Vietnam who is jolted by what he believes is his mother's voice and is spared a violent death. In "Are You My Father?" a young woman takes a job in a medical office, and to her amazement, she has chosen a path that crosses with that of her natural father whom she had long searched for.
