Synopsis:

The story of Carmine Kelly, a press agent who covers the midnight action in New York City. In the pilot, Kelly attempts to help protect his friend Smitty from the impending destruction of her restaurant -- a hangout for actors, writers, businessmen, "and other folk who brighten up when the sun goes down" -- by a ruthless realt estate developer. He also tries to help Vantura Davis, a faded movie star who has come to New York to appear on "The Dick Cavett Show" to promote an awful movie, which, unfortunately, is her attempt at a comeback.
