Synopsis:
While exploring a secret room in their barn, two youngsters, Bridget Frommer and her brother, Martin, discover an old sea chest that contains the personal belongings of Otto Frommer, an ancestor who was believed to be a villain in the mid-nineteenth century. Suddenly, the children are hurled from their home in Frederick County, Maryland, to 1851 Maryland via a time warp to learn the truth about Otto, an avid abolitionist who bought slaves in order to free them. The truth learned, Bridget and Martin are returned to the present.
