Synopsis:
A look at the cop film genre and its connection to real-life cops, beginning with the gritty urban films of the 1970s and moving ahead to the modern, morally ambiguous cops that inhabit today's screens. The genre's high points are examined through clips and interviews with visionary filmmakers of the 70s as well as influential cops, real and fictional, and current newcomers to the genre.
