Synopsis:

A gay teen tries to bring his boyfriend to the prom at a Catholic high school. A popular, self confident guy, Marc Hall was able to avoid much of the usual harassment a gay kid in a working class town would face. When he tries to come out to his parents, they look at him with a blank stare as if they would be crazy not to know this supposedly newly discovered fact. But when Marc decides to take his boyfriend to the prom, the principal will not permit it. Marc's friends rally around him and his best girlfriend vows she will not go if he can't. Suddenly, with the spotlight of the nation's media cast on his struggle, and a pro bono lawyer from a gay rights group, Marc discovers that his small struggle has become much bigger than he had hoped.
