Synopsis:
Comedy about the work of police officers of New York City's Public Morals Division who try to keep Manhattan's streets sleaze-free, even though at times their sting operations play out like scenes from the Keystone Cops. Detective O'Boyle is sexy and streetwise, but has a soft spot that can cloud her judgment. Tough and ambitious Sgt. Vandergroodt usually sticks with O'Boyle when it comes to razzing the guys. Detective Schuler's one redeeming quality may be his culinary skills. Detective Biondi is a hard-working, good cop, despite the fact that he is the first in his family to be on the right side of the law. Officer Ruggs, a rookie with an Ivy League wardrobe, has an affinity for fine food, good wine and classical music. Mickey Crawford is movie-star handsome and could be charming if he weren't so obnoxious. Lt. Neil Fogarty is a well-meaning veteran cop who doesn't quite fit in. John Irvin is the public administrative assistant who's been transferred to the department from uptown.
