Synopsis:
The story, set in the mythical kingdom of Crescenda, relates incidents in the lives of its royal family: Edmund, its King; Susan, his American wife; Estelle, his mother the Queen; and Duke Alford, his uncle. The pilot episode relates how Edmund and Susan Billings, a geochemist visiting Crescenda, meet, fall in love, and encounter the objections of Estelle, who wants her son to marry royalty, not an American commoner.
