Synopsis:
A tour of the San Quentin prison complex -- from the death chamber and death row, to the minimum security processing center where minor offenders are kept for two months until they are sent to other prisons in California. The program also visits the prison's cafeteria, hospital, classrooms and exercise yards. Country music legend Merle Haggard is interviewed and gives an account of his experiences inside the walls of San Quentin where he was locked up for three years in the 1950s.
