Synopsis:

An Emmy-winning, irregularly scheduled documentary series first nurtured by legendary `See It Now' producers Fred Friendly and Edward R. Murrow, who also narrated its premiere report, `Biography of a Missile.' The show touched on cultural subjects as well as hard-hitting news stories, and its many memorable shows included `Hunger in America,' `KKK---The Invisible Empire,' `The Selling of the Pentagon' and `Gauguin in Tahiti.' The familiar opening theme was Aaron Copland's `Appalachian Spring.'
