Synopsis:

Over the last half of the twentieth century, the understanding of human sexuality has undergone a radical change. Sexual science, education and ubiquity have eclipsed the mysteries, myths and practices fueled by public ignorance and distaste for sex. The program examines these changes through the eyes of the pioneers who helped to make them happen, including interviews with some of the first women to take the pill; doctors who isolated the HIV virus; and early sex-change patient; a landmark figure for reproductive rights; people from all sides of the controversy on pornography; a former Kinsey report subject; and other people who have helped change history.
