Synopsis:
A documentary which examines smoking as an American dilemma. The program presents diverse and provocative viewpoints from all sides of the picture through interviews with politicians, fervent pro- and anti-smoking activists, the U.S. Surgeon General, medical experts and tobacco industry spokespersons, advertising and legal consultants, and comedians at one of New York City's top comedy clubs. The program includes historical footage, old television commercials, and film and print ads.
