Synopsis:
An irreverent and irresponsible woman finds a reason to change her life when her mother dies and she tries to save the family farm. Frannie Vaughn is vivacious and charming, but too many parties and too many men have tarnished her reputation in the small North Carolina town where she was raised. When Frannie comes home to find her mother has died and her younger sister Natalie couldn't find her, she becomes inconsolable. Frannie realizes how much she loves the farmhouse that has been handed down to Vaughn women for generations and is devastated that Natalie and her banker boyfriend Jake plan to sell it. What Frannie leasts expects is to find a man who actually cares for her, but she does when she defends Ruben, the mill foreman in an industrial accident, and later, the two begin a courtship. And while Natalie seems to be the responsible one, she's in for a shocking surprise that will alter her life.
