Synopsis:
Television movie pilot based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's story about a team of scientists who come upon a world where dinosaurs still live. A British expedition team led by adventurer and scholar Professor Edward Challenger, is determined to prove the existence of "The Lost World." The team includes scholar Dr. Summerlee; journalist John Malone; world-famous adventurer Sir John Roxton; and their benefactor, the enigmatic Marguerite Krux. Journeying through the Amazon Jungle, the group defends itself against incredible dangers with the help of Veronica, who has raised herself since the age of 11 when her parents were killed by the Ape Men. Her knowledge of the flora and fauna and the local Zanga tribes people could mean the fulfillment of the team's desires and a way home. When Assai, the Zanga chief's daughter and Veronica's best friend, is kidnapped by the Ape Men, the team must save Assai to secure the Zanga's help on their journey home.
