Synopsis:
A four-and-a-half hour adaptation for television of Eugene O'Neill's epic play (which, performed in a rotating series of performances, ran over nine hours in its original stage production on Broadway in the '20s) about a woman, who, grieving for her fiancee who was killed in action in the World War, marries a man she does not love and bears the child of yet another man with whom she has a prolonged, secret love affair.
