Synopsis:
Adapted from Steven Gaines' unauthorized biography "Heroes & Villians: The True Story of The Beach Boys." The telefilm dramatizes the meteoric success of the California band, and later, its struggles, as brothers Dennis and Brian Wilson fight their father's obsessive attempts to control the group. Also dramatized are The Beach Boys' own private troubles with drug and alcohol abuse.
