Synopsis:
A drama series that revolves around Emma Brody, a young woman who yearns for adventure and wants to do something important with her life, so she leaves friends, family and her own country to take a job as vice consul at the United States Embassy in London. The series follows Emma's experiences as she finds romance and excitement in this foreign city while serving as a life raft for Americans in need of help abroad. Characters include: Elque Polk, the fast-talking consul general; Janet Westerman, the deputy chief of mission who runs the Embassy; Carmen Jones, a supportive and always joking vice consul; Liz Shoop, an over-achieving vice consul who becomes Emma's flatmate; Gary Forbush, their cross-dressing neighbor and London native; Doug Roach, a handsome and charming CIA agent; and brothers Jack Wellington and James Wellington, two dashing British Lords.
