Synopsis:
A new school term begins at the Lawrenceville Academy and Hickey finds himself saddled with an insufferable and insufferably wealthy freshman, whom he quickly dubs "The Uncooked Beefsteak." His efforts at cutting this braggart down to size are topped only by those of his arch enemy and rival, The Tennessee Shad.
