Synopsis:
A televison adaptation of Clifford Odets' 1949 Broadway stage play about greed and avarice in the Hollywood film industry during the 1940s. A top movie star is torn between the lure of a new contract offered by a ruthless studio boss who knows a dark secret from his past, and the love of his wife, who wants him to break away from the studio.
