Synopsis:
Egotistical Denver advertising executive Jack McLaren, known as the Closer, is finding it increasingly difficult to live by his credo: "Never let the client see you're human." Jack's creative team at his new agency includes Carl "Dobbs" Dobson, the best and most biting creative director in the business; Bruno, copywriter and ever-shifting reed in the political wind; Jack's nocturnally active and smart-mouthed office manager, Beverly; and the team's Ivy League accountant, Erica, who is desperate to shed her bean-counter image. Also in Jack's life is his college-age daughter Alex, a sports fanatic who lives with him and is the only person not afraid of the Closer.
