Synopsis:
Set twenty years in the future, androids are commonplace and used to cook and clean. Gillian Tanner, a successful romance novelist, plans to begin and complete her next novel in the solace and comfort of an isolated mountain cabin. Her friends persuade her to obtain the services of Geoffrey, an android, to keep her company and help around the house. Alone and bored, Gillian fiddles with Geoffrey's circuits and is rudely awakened when she loses control of him.
