Synopsis:
Documents the world premiere of Kurt Weill's "Eternal Road," about the coming of the Holocaust, conducted by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra's principal conductor John Mauceri in Chemnitz, Germany. Holocaust survivors, many who had left the city 60 years before, were invited to return to Chemnitz for the concert, a benefit to raise funds for a new synagogue.
