Synopsis:
The play, based on a twelfth-century French folk tale, tells the story of Barnaby Stone, a down-and-out street performer who has only his talents as a juggler to present as a Christmas offering to a statue of the Virgin Mary. The legend states that when Barnaby offered his only gift, the statue came to life and presented him with a red rose she was carrying.
