Synopsis:
Ken Follett's tale of wartime intrigue pitting a ruthless Nazi spy (David Soul) against a fearless British Army major (Cliff Robertson), engaging them in a deadly cat and mouse game, and involving them with a courageous Jewish entertainer with a shady past and a sexually voracious belly-dancer, unfolded in two parts in this four-hour production as part of the syndicated Operation Prime Time package. It was filmed entirely on location in North Africa, with the title having a significant tie to the classic Daphne du Maurier novel, "Rebecca."
