Synopsis:
British television series set in Royston Vasey, a small village in Northern England. The main characters -- all played by a three-member troupe -- include Barbara, a transsexual cab driver; Tubbs and Edward, a psychotic couple who run the "Local Shop" on the outskirts of town; Mr. Chinnery, the vet who kills more patients than the local slaughterhouse; Bernice, the alcoholic vicar; Harvey Denton, the toad-breeder; Hilary Briss, the butcher who sells home-made sausages with a "special" ingrediant; and the blind village photographer.
