Synopsis:
Office life from the perspective of the secretaries headed by Rita Stone, who has run the office for 19 years. One of her main duties is to keep the personal lives of the employees in check, including Beth Avery, a stressed working mother, Deborah Beaumont, fresh from college and uncomfortable with the real world, and Mae D'Arcy, a temp who has cemented a permanent position with Bobby, the tempermental creative force behind the company. Rita must also answer to her boss Frank, who has difficulty keeping clients in harmony with the executives, including Steve Gilman, the company salesman and Natalie Stanton, the sole female executive who must sometimes force her way into the "boy's club".
