Synopsis:
Update of "The Patty Duke Show," which aired on ABC from 1963 to 1966, about a pair of identical-twin cousins, Patty and Cathy Lane, both played by Patty Duke. Three decades later, Patty still spends her days at Brooklyn Heights High School where she is now a drama teacher. She is divorced from high school steady Richard, but they continue to have a close relationship. They have a 33-year-old son Michael and a 14-year-old granddaughter Molly. Cousin Cathy is a recent widow who lives in her native Scotland with her 14-year-old son Liam. The family is reunited when Patty's parents Martin and Natalie Lane fly in from Florida and Cathy and Liam fly in from Scotland to see Patty and her brother Ross, a musician in New York. Meanwhile, Patty must fight her longtime nemesis Sue Ellen, who is trying to turn Brooklyn Heights High School into a shopping mall.
