Synopsis:
Documentary on the history of the Jewish people in the United States, covering the period from 1654 -- when 23 Sephardic Jews first arrived in the harbor of New Amsterdam -- through the American Revolution, the Civil War, the arrival of German Jews, the California Gold Rush and the nation's westward expansion, until 1880, the start of the great European migration.
