Synopsis:
PBS's popular travelogue series `about great journeys, great destinations, the pleasure of discovery and the surprise of chance encounters.' Among the places visited during the show's 40-episode run were Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, Malaysia, the Persian Gulf, Peru, Russia and Western China (via motorcycle). Other episodes included a 500-mile canoe trip in Great Britain by naturalist Robert Forbes Perkins, and Peter Ustinov's ride aboard the Orient Express.
