Synopsis:
Shakespeare's lyric comedy about love in disguise. A young woman named Viola survives a shipwreck off the coast of a foreign land, then assumes the identity of a boy as a disguise. Finding employment as a page in the court of Duke Orsino, she finds herself pursued by Orsino's love, Olivia, who has rejected the Duke. But Viola is herself in love with the Duke who, in turn, has asked her to woo Olivia for him. Finally, Viola's "identical twin" brother -- whom Viola fears has been drowned -- appears and finds himself automatically beloved by Olivia, who takes him for his sister. Everything works out in the end.
