Synopsis:
A presentation of the Opera Company of Philadelphia's production of "Un Ballo in Maschera" by Giuseppe Verdi. The production includes tenor Luciano Pavarotti and winners of the second "Opera Company of Philadelphia/Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition." The three-act opera takes place during the last years of the 17th century, and includes action, intrigue, betrayal, and suspense. The performance was taped live at the Academy of Music on April 14, 1986.
