Synopsis:
A look at the tumultuous career of the first African-American world heavyweight boxing champion, Jack Johnson, whose title reign angered America and whose personal life, including dalliances with white women, angered America even more. With a 13-year life in the public eye, Johnson's defiance against the racial attitudes that sought to end his career provoked the U.S. government into waging an attack that led to his ultimate downfall.
