Synopsis:
After her policeman father dies from a gunshot wound, while she is only inches away in the ER saving another patient, Jamie has a breakdown. Unable to deal with the fact that she was fighting with her father right before his death, Jamie breaks off her engagement and refuses to talk to her mother who is trying to get reacquainted with Jamie. Her supervisor sends her to work in long term care for a while, but she has an outburst there and is asked to take a break. She ends up giving home care to a terminally ill woman. The woman helps her to see how close loved ones remain even after their deaths.
