Synopsis:
An American version of the fairy tale "Snow White" set in the early 20th century. Willa lives in isolated splendor with her stepmother, Regina Worthington, an aging beauty whose stage career has waned. Jealous of the lovely, talented Willa, Regina orders Otto, her devoted butler, to get rid of her. Unwilling to do her harm, Otto helps Willa escape to the Virginia woods, where she finds refuge with a traveling medicine show trio: Chief Tonka, Billy Bugg and Alfonzo. As they travel the backroads of America, Willa sings and performs with the troupe and helps to sell the "elixir of life." But Willa is destined to encounter her Prince Charming, Toby Blythe-Wooster, a young man in the emerging movie business, and to confront her nemesis, Regina.
