Synopsis:
A trilogy of three short dramas broadcast as a presentation of "HBO Showcase." Carson McCullers' "A Domestic Dilemma" follows a businessman who confronts his wife because her drinking is a threat to their children's safety. Henry Miller's "Mara" is about an American writer living in Paris and the Polish prostitute he befriends. Irwin Shaw's "Return to Kansas City," set in New York in 1939, is about an up-and-coming boxer and his wife, who urges him to greater success by taking a bout with a championship contender.
