Country star Rodney Crowell stunned fans at a gig in Tennessee on Saturday night (29Oct16) as he showed up to perform hours after experiencing “cardiac symptoms” during a soundcheck.
He was warming up at the Jaeckle Centre in Thompson’s Station for the third annual Celebrity Barn Dance benefit for Music Health Alliance when he fell ill and was hospitalised.
But as soon as doctors gave him the all-clear, he raced back to the stage to join headliners Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris for an encore, performing a rendition of Waylon Jennings’ Waymore’s Blues.
