Veteran British singer David Essex has become a father for the fifth time at the age of 67. The Rock On hitmaker has four grown-up children from his previous two marriages, and now he has shocked fans by revealing his third wife, Susan Hallam-Wright, gave birth to a boy called Sonny last year (14).
He tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, “My priority in life has always been family. I actually think children teach you to be a man. My kids are the best thing ever… Sonny wakes us as 5am, but it’s wonderful to have another boy.”
Essex, real name David Cook, is also a father to son Danny, daughter Verity, and twins Billy and Kit.
