Below Deck star Kate Chastain arrested for domestic violence

U.S. reality star Kate Chastain was arrested on domestic violence charges on Monday (13Jun16).
The 33-year-old, who is the Chief Stewardess on Bravo reality show Below Deck, which follows a crew on a mega-yacht during charter season, is alleged to have bitten and choked her girlfriend Ro, believed to be former professional footballer Rocio Hernandez, while trying to kick her out of their home.
According to TMZ.com, Kate attempted to eject Ro from their property in Melbourne Beach, Florida, and when she refused she “bit her in the forearm, bicep and leg.”
Melbourne Beach police officers are also quoted as telling the outlet that Kate then “put a knee on her (Ro’s) head, choked her, and tried to stop her breathing.”
She was arrested and booked on Monday afternoon on charges of battery by strangulation. After spending the night in the Brevard County Jail Complex, she appeared in court on Tuesday (14Jun16) and posted her $5,000 (£3,534) bail.
