Better Call Saul and Game of Thrones lead nominees for Producers Guild Awards

Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, Modern Family and Inside Amy Schumer have scored top nods for the Producers Guild of America (PGA).
Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul will compete for the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama with Game of Thrones, Homeland, House of Cards and Mad Men, while the Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy will be a fight between the men and women behind Inside Amy Schumer, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Transparent and Veep.
Meanwhile, sports documentary series 30 for 30, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, Shark Tank and Vice have been nominated for Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television, and the award for Outstanding Producer of Competition Television will be a battle between The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, Project Runway, Top Chef and The Voice, and The Colbert Report, Key & Peele, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Real Time with Bill Maher and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon have been nominated for Outstanding Producer of Live Entertainment & Talk Television.
The nominations were announced on Tuesday (08Dec15), a month before the major film shortlists are unveiled in January (16).
The 27th annual Producers Guild Awards will be presented on 23 January (16) at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
