Betty White’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live netted the sketch-comedy show its highest ratings since the Tina Fey-as-Sarah Palin days.
The 88-year-old hosted SNL over the weekend, and the results were huge: Not only did she propel the show to the No. 1 spot on Saturday night, but the former Golden Girl brought in ratings that haven’t been matched n 18 months.
The last time SNL saw such big ratings was a Nov. 1, 2008, episode featuring then presidential candidate John McCain and Fey’s parody of his then running mate Palin.
