Synopsis

A panel of experts examines the complicated issues surrounding affirmative action. Advocates of affirmative action focus on the reality that society still doesn't reflect the principle of fairness and believe affirmative action is a necessary remedy for unequal access to educational and economic opportunity. The opposition charges that society can't effectively use an inherently unequal selection process to remedy inequality without fostering resentment and violating the principle of equality itself.
