Branded | 1964
"Branded, scorned as the one who ran. What do you do when you're branded and you know you're a man?" Setting: Southwestern Wyoming during the 1870s. During the Battle of Bitter Creek, Jason McCord, an Army captain, is knocked unconscious when a group of Comanches attack his division. Upon awakening, he finds that the conflict has ended and that he is the lone survivor. When the military brass refuse to believe his story, he is branded a coward, stripped of his rank, and dishonorably discharged.
Thinking and hoping that someone else may have survived the battle, McCord undertakes a trek to clear his name. Episodes relate his difficulties as he encounters the hatred of men in a country torn by war.
