Bosses at Dark Horse Comics are set to tell the story of the man behind the Beatles in a new graphic novel. The Fifth Beatle will focus on the Fab Four’s manager Brian Epstein, who guided the group to fame and fortune after signing them in 1961.
The comic book will detail the enigmatic Svengali’s life as he helped the Hey Jude hitmakers land their first record deal, as well as his personal struggles as a gay man in post-war Britain.
The publication will debut at the annual Comic-Con International event in San Diego, California, which starts on Thursday (18Jul13), before the comic’s official release in November (13).
