The producers of sitcom How I Met Your Mother were left so impressed with Britney Spears‘ two guest spots on the show that they’re pushing for her to win an Emmy.
Ratings for the show soared when the pop star played a ditzy secretary in two recent episodes, and now Spears might be Emmy-bound after being included on the official ballot as a possible nominee.
According to OK! magazine, Spears is one of 41 actresses, including Mary-Kate Olsen and Alyssa Milano, in contention for a place on the shortlist.

The final ladies will then compete for Emmy gold in September.
