Synopsis

The Sherwood Bus Depot and Diner in Sunrise, Colorado, plays real-life situations against mythical backgrounds as lost and troubled people attempt to overcome their difficulties. The series is very loosely based on William Inge's play. (The sixth episode of the series, however -- entitled "Cherie" -- was the pilot and the only episode adapted from the play. Tuesday Weld portrayed Cherie, the hopeful singer, and Bo, the cowboy who wants to marry her, was portrayed by Gary Lockwood.)
