90210 is getting a visit from one member of a very famous American family: the Jacksons. La Toya Jackson will guest star on the CW series, playing a record executive with a keen eye for the music industry and a very business-like attitude. Jackson’s character will be interracting with Tristan Wilds’ Dixon, whom she considers a venerable talent. 90210 returns to The CW on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. -THR

Jill Zarin is synonymous with the East Coast thanks to her four-year stint on The Real Housewives of New York City. However, Zarin might be taking part in her own personal manifest destiny with the help of Fox. The network is in talks with Zarin to start a new TV series, The Beverly Jillbillies, which would relocate Zarin to Los Angeles in a “fish out of water” story. Although the project is not publicly official yet, Zarin told The Hollywood Reporter that she is already seeking a new residence in L.A. -THR

Staff editor Michael Arbeiter’s natural state of being can best be described as “mild panic attack.” His earliest memories of growing up in Queens, New York, involve nighttime conversations with a voice from his bedroom wall (the jury’s still out on what that was all about) and a love for classic television that spawned from the very first time he was allowed to watch “The Munsters.” Attending college at SUNY Binghamton, a 20-year-old Michael learned two things: that he could center his future on this love for TV and movies, and that dragons never actually existed — he was kind of late in the game on that one.
