CBS Announces Fall Premiere Dates

ElementaryIs it that time already? Before summer has even kicked into high gear, CBS is already looking to the fall, announcing today its weekly schedule for next season’s new endeavors and returning favorites.

The top-rated network kicks off its fall line-up with the 25th (can you believe it!?) season premiere of Survivor, which will precede the rest of the schedule by a week. The real launch comes on Monday, Sept. 24, when the Eye premieres sitcom staples How I Met Your Mother and Mike & Molly (joined by the new Groupon-themed comedy Partners). What’s missing on Monday? Two And A Half Men has moved to Thursday (where it joins sitcom powerhouse The Big Bang Theory) in order to give a hefty lead-in to Person of Interest and the Sherlock spinner Elementary.
The rest of the schedule — especially the sparse handful of new programs — is relatively straightforward: the 1960s-set drama Vegas will premiere on Tuesday night, while Made in Jersey (which is a drama, contrary to what you might ascertain from the title) will make its debut on a Friday.
